The film is set on 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month and concerning an entity from another world that enters the earthly realm through Heaven's 11th gate. The film was released on November 11, 2011 in 17 theaters domestically. It was distributed byColumbia Pictures in North America, thus most of its revenues were generated from foreign showings.

After the death of his wife and child, an author travels to Barcelona to see his estranged brother and dying father, where he learns that his life is plagued by events that occur on 11/11/11.
